Clothing Work Past and Present:

The clothing of the Tla’amin people included furs, leaves, and woven bark. these pieces of clothing were the basic building blocks of their clothing and have much so improved upon with the westernization of the people. Their clothing today includes their past clothing, however much of it has moved onto what we would call regular clothing.

The Tla’amin people would treat their clothing as an art and in many cases, it would be considered so. They spent countless hours perfecting their furs so that they could wear them, and the product had amazing durability. Their abilities in creating clothing attracted the attention of settlers when they arrived and gave the First Nations group a chance to begin trade with the foreigners.
